Carvings Nunavut ships daily using Canada Post. Most Items ship same day. Shipping costs are included for all pieces on our site with a cart value of $199.00 or more. If you need a last minute gift shipped quickly please call us and we will do our best to accommodate every request. Larger items are professionally packaged with our state of the art expanding foam system, to ensure safe delivery.

Shipping is included on most of our products for customers in Canada and the United States with a cart value over $199.00. Insurance costs are additional (Theft or very visible damage to the package).

If you are ordering from another country.

Please email us and we will adjust the total for your shipping. In the unlikely event you are unhappy with a purchase we do offer an in store credit. Restocking fees may apply on a case by case basis. Due to the high cost associated with shipping from Nunavut we cannot refund shipping costs.

Every product for sale on this site is on display in our gallery in Iqaluit. If the product sells in store before we can change it online, we will refund you in full.

We use a state of the packing system to package our art for shipping. In the unlikely event a piece does gets damaged during the shipping process the art must be returned at the buyer's expense. We must be notified within 24 hours of accepting the package. We will then proceed on the buyer's behalf with a insurance claim through the shipping company. Carvings Nunavut will NOT be responsible when shipping Inuit Art via Canada Post or with a courier company. The gallery does its best to package sculptures with a state of the art expanding foam system, bubble wrap (when needed)and cardboard but if unfortunately, in the unlikely event it does break we will not be responsible for the breakage or damage. All original over sized sculptures must be shipped in a custom built crate – please contact the gallery for more information about this process. (Additional fees may apply.)

Inuit art that contains marine mammals cannot be exported from Canada unless it has proper permits. Under the C.I.T.E.S Treaty, Carvings Nunavut does not offer pieces that contain Polar Bear, Walrus and Whale pieces for export to the United States or other restricted countries. Before you order, if you are in doubt please contact us and we will be happy to assist you. We do offer other fine pieces that contain caribou antler and other types bone product that are allowed legally into your country. We can obtain a CITES permit for certain items to many countries. The cost for carvings to obtain the permits is on a case by case basis. Please, as simple as it may seem taking products across the border made from Polar Bear, Whale and Walrus is a serious offence in the USA under Section 101 of the Marine Mammals Protection act. Carvings Nunavut is not responsible for any artworks seized as a result. Any custom fees, duties, brokerage, taxes are the buyer's responsibility. We will bill your method of payment for any extra fees that are associated over and above the actual shipping charges.
