Qalupalik is a myth/legend thats told by Inuit to prevent children from wandering to the shore. Qalupaliks are human-like creatures that live in the sea, they have green skin, long finger nails and use an amauti. They use their amauti to take children who disobey their parents or wander off alone and take them under water where she adopts them as their own.
